Hilarin is a bright, Energetic, SMART Goal oriented certified practicing accountant with 15 years of professional experience in a diverse range of industries. She is a high achiever who believes ‘Impossible is Nothing’.

Her Passion for Finance lead her to graduate with Master of Practicing Accounting from Swinburne University. In 2013, Hilarin joined Quinlan Consulting Team (QCT) as a mentor student, learned the industry gap courses at a fast pace and stepped into the finance industry as a bookkeeper for QCT clients from a variety of industry sectors. She grasped and understood the unique business processes whilst quickly learning variety of accounting softwares used in each business to perform all round bookkeeping services at a highest standard. Her well organized and structured approach to work had benefited many clients to streamline their workflows and achieve efficiencies in their Financial Accounting and Reporting KPIs.

Hilarin worked as an Assistant Accountant at Smart House Fire Solutions, where she engaged in managing high volume sales invoices processing for the Smoke Alarm Maintenance services provided for residential properties managed by Real Estate agents. When the business expanded to Electrical and Plumbing Services in 2016, she was promoted as Accounts Supervisor, overseeing Accounts Payables and Payroll duties, Intercompany accounts and bank reconciliations, weekly financial summary reporting and cash flow analysis. She was a project Champion when Smarthouse transferred it’s invoicing platform from TSM to Aroflo and Accounting software from MYOB to Xero, by successfully implementing efficient new

workflows and processes to ensure timely invoicing for clients and successful migration of employee data across to Xero for payroll compliance.

Hilarin volunteered as Treasurer and Grant Coordinator for Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East (SOA – MIE) for 5 years from 2012. She transformed the manual Financial Management system to a structured, efficient, and accurate financial system using MYOB. She was responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports, budgets and cashflow analysis and present them at monthly board meetings. In 2014, she secured $20k grant from RACV towards sponsoring athletes with intellectual disabilities to participate in National Olympic Games. In 2019, she partnered with SOA-MIE to secure $5k seed funding from her employer Tourism Holdings Australia (thl) as part of the ‘thl ignite challenge’, and $22k funds via crowdfunding towards ‘Special Olympics Road Trip’. This project supported the dreams of few lucky athletes with intellectual disability to go on a Campervan Road trip to Gippsland whilst spreading the awareness of Special Olympics to communities that needed it.

She worked 5 years with Tourism Holdings Australia, initially as a Finance and Payroll Assistant and then as an Assistant Accountant. In this role, she was responsible for Bank administrations, Daily bank journals and reconciliations, End of Month journals and reconciliations for payroll accruals, Intercompany accounts, FX Investment, Prepayments, Interest Expenses, Fuel stock valuations, Commission accruals and standing journals. She had performed internal Audits for branches operating in all states in Australia and had assisted in preparing Audit summary reports highlighting observations and recommendations to enhance internal finance controls. Hilarin had also assisted in Interim and End of Financial Year External Audits conducted by PWC. She managed payroll for 200 employees across all states in Australia and ensured compliance for PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and Workcover Annual wage declarations. She liaised with PayGlobal consultants to successfully implement Single Touch Payroll (STP) Phase 2 in September 2022, by reviewing and adjusting all internal payroll allowances to meet the standards defined by ATO for STP Reporting. Another highlight was her engagement in liaising with external payroll consultants to successfully launch thl Retention and Wellbeing support policy for employees in Australia from November 2022. Hilarin was responsible for Hosting monthly HR Meeting in which she presented the HR Monthly reports she prepared, including Active Headcount/FTE, Leave Accruals and employee diversity reports and employee legislative updates.
